Mark My Word! -Is the Bible applicable in today’s culture? Can I learn anything from this ancient text? Are there any truths I can actually apply in my life? Do you have these questions and more? Join “MARK MY WORD!,” a discussion-based Bible Study aimed at investigating the scripture as found in Mark’s account of the Gospel, and focusing on personal life application. This small group will meet Sundays from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM upstairs in room 204, starting September 14. All are welcome!
Ladies Bible Study - Why do we settle for the Word of God revealed to someone else and passed on to us as if HE does not speak to us individually? This shouldn't satisfy us. God wants us to hear His voice, understand, and obey. The Lord desires to speak to us personally. He wants to meet us where we are, despite who we are, and reveal His will for our lives. A new Bible study, “He Speaks to Me,” by Priscilla Shirer will begin on Wednesday, September 17 at 9:30 AM in the church parlor. This is a 6-week study that runs through October. This study is for all ladies of the church and open to the community. Please contact the church office for more information.
Puppet Ministry - We will have a Puppet Ministry Kickoff/Interest meeting—for anyone from 4th grade through adults—on Sunday, September 21 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM in the fellowship hall. We hope to begin planning for community puppet shows and brief puppet shows for the children’s sermon every now and then. No experience necessary!
Children's Christmas Play - There will be an organizational meeting on Sunday, September 21, from 4:30 to 5:00 PM in the fellowship hall for children and their parents to find out more about this year’s Christmas play. Children aged 2 through the 5th grade are invited to participate in this play, which will be performed as part of our White Gifts service on Sunday, December 21, at 6:00 PM.
Drama Ministry – The Rehobeth “Dramatically His” Drama Ministry team will resume meeting this fall. There are some new and exciting projects coming up. Our next meeting is Sunday, September 21, at 7:00 PM in the fellowship hall. We hope to see you there! We need new faces, and drama experience is NOT required. Ages 12 and up are welcome.
Progressive Dinner - Sign up now to participate in this year’s “Progressive Dinner” scheduled for Sunday evening, October 19th. The theme for this year’s dinner will be “Family Favorites.” The evening will begin at the first host house at 5 PM for appetizers, then progress to a second host house for the main course. Then all will gather back at the church fellowship hall for dessert. Folks are invited to sign up as hosts for either appetizer or main course, or they may sign up to bring a dessert or come as a guest. Each home will host groups of 6 to 8 people. This year’s “Family Favorites” theme gives lots of opportunity for your own special menu choices, so please consider being a host house for either appetizers or the main course. Your Family Life Council has planned this event as a way to build fellowship and welcome new folks to the church. We invite you to come, “break bread together” with your church family. The progressive dinner sign-up sheet is in the narthex. For more information, contact the church office (828-478-2518).

See the sign-up sheet in the narthex if you can help with this event in any way!
