solider Cards for Our Troops: Our servicemen and —women love receiving cards to brighten their day and remind them that folks back home are thinking about and praying for them! When you're out and about on your weekly errands, consider picking up a couple of "Get Well" cards for our wounded troops in Afghanistan or "Thinking of You" or "Thank You" cards for our active-duty troops in Kuwait. When writing out the cards, be sure to write the type of card on the envelope, such as "Get Well" or "Thinking of You." Remember, do not include a return address. Simply drop your cards in the red, white, and blue box in the narthex. Thank you for supporting the men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect us.

Thanks to you, we were able to send 881 cards and 62.44 pounds of candy to our troops for Halloween!
ECCCM Sign Up to Work at ECCCM! In an effort to increase efficiency, ECCCM has changed their church volunteer system. Instead of a church taking one week a year, the churches are being assigned one day a month. Rehobeth has been assigned the second Thursday of each month. Hours of operation are 8 AM to 5 PM, but you do not need to commit to the full day. Come volunteer for the hours that are convenient for you. Volunteer opportunities include: Bagging food for distribution, stocking shelves, filling client orders at the drive-through door, sorting donations. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign the list in the narthex.
Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child: Once again Rehobeth will be participating in the Operation Christmas child mission, where shoeboxes filled with gifts are distributed to needy children around the world. Brochures that explain how to pack a shoebox, have gift suggestions, and that have an envelope for donor information are inserted in your bulletin this morning. Operation Christmas Child asks that a $9 donation be included to help with the shipping costs. If you would prefer to make this donation online, you can print out a label which needs to be attached to the shoebox. Once the shoebox has reached its destination, the label will be scanned and you will be notified by email where your shoebox was received. Empty shoeboxes are available in the narthex. Feel free to take as many as you would like to fill. (Please do not fill “over-sized” boxes.) Also note all shoeboxes need to be returned to Rehobeth by November 12. (Please disregard the dates printed on the brochure.) Thank you.

Pickleball Come Play Pickleball! Everyone is invited to come play Pickleball! Even if you haven’t played before, please come give it a try. Pickleball is a game similar to ping-pong and tennis and we encourage everyone to come and join in the fun. We usually meet on the first and fourth Mondays of every month beginning at 6:30 PM at the Connor Recreation Center. It’s a great way to get some exercise!

Next meeting: October 23
Zootastic Would You Like to Go to Zootastic? We are planning a trip to Zootastic Park of Lake Norman in Troutman and invite you to go along. We will either go on Saturday, November 18 or Sunday, November 19 after church. If you are interested in going, please sign the list in the narthex and also indicate which date you would prefer. If we get enough people who wish to go, we can get a group rate. Everyone is invited!
