Mission & Ministry Opportunities
Cards for Our Troops – For more than 10 years, Rehobeth has been sending cards to our wounded troops in Afghanistan and active troops in Kuwait. Make a commitment to write a card or two each week to let the men and women in the military hospital in Afghanistan and military base in Kuwait know how much you appreciate their service. Indicate on the envelope what type of card is enclosed ("Get Well," "Thank You," or "Thinking of You"). Remember, to comply with military security requirements, do not include your return address. Place your cards in the red, white, and blue box located in the narthex. Thank you for supporting our troops!
"Parade of Cans" Food Drive - During the month of August, Rehobeth Church will be taking part in a food drive to benefit The Corner Table, our local Soup Kitchen. A competition is being held for churches & businesses to collect the most food. The winner will be awarded the infamous “Canned Trophy”! All non-perishable food items are welcome! Foods Most Needed: Peanut Butter Crackers, potted meat, ranch dressing, mayonnaise, ketchup, cake mixes, cake frosting, white beans (dry) Black Eyes peas, tomato sauces, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, salt, fruit cups, pudding cups, evaporated milk, Rotel green chilies & tomatoes, self-rising flour, Spaghettio’s, ravioli. All of the items except the ravioli and Spaghettio's is for cooking at The Corner Table or placing in the Friday to-go bags. The ravioli and Spaghettio's are used for children to eat when they come in or if someone needs food to take home for their children.
