Mission & Ministry Opportunities
Angel Tree – Rehobeth Church is once again supporting an Angel Tree Mission this Christmas. Our angel tree recipients are foster children who are living in our county. If you can help, please take a card from the angel tree in the narthex, purchase one or two gifts on the list, and return the gift(s) to the narthex by Sunday, November 30.
Note: It is not necessary to purchase all requests on the card. Those are only suggestions.
Please attach the angel card to the gift(s). Also please do not wrap the gifts. Christmas bags and bows are okay. If you’d like more information about how the angel tree “works” to help these children, please see the flyer posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. Thank you.
Christmas Cards for Our Troops – As part of our ongoing mission, we’ll be collecting Christmas cards for our wounded troops in Afghanistan and those on active duty in Kuwait. All cards are due by Sunday, November 30. Just a reminder, when sending cards, please write on the outside of the envelope what type of card it is (“get well,” “thinking of you,” “Happy Thanksgiving”) and drop them in the red, white, and blue box in the narthex.
Remember, for your safety and security, do not write your return address on the envelope. You may, however, sign your name on the inside of the card.
West Virginia Shoeboxes – Thanks to all who have pledged to fill a shoebox for a needy child in War, West Virginia! The shoeboxes are due in the Narthex by Sunday, November 30. We will be adding an NIV Bible and a copy of the Christmas story to each box, and will deliver them to the community the week of December 15th.
Because so many have already brought in their shoeboxes, we will be
We need adults to travel to West Virginia to help deliver and distribute the shoeboxes. Due to the rugged terrain, we will be renting special vans for this trip. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office or sign the WV Day Trip list in the narthex.
Serving at the Corner Table - Rehobeth will be preparing and serving lunch at our local soup kitchen, The Corner Table in Newton. We will prepare the meal on Wednesday, December 3, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM in the fellowship hall. Children's Christmas Play - The children will practice their Christmas musical 9:45-10:00 AM each Sunday in the church parlor. It’s not too late to become a part of this musical, which will be performed at our White Gifts Service on December 21 at 6:00 PM. All children ages 2 through the 5th grade are invited to participate.

If you would like to place an order, please sign the form in the narthex.
