Care and Encouragement

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit...  (1 Corinthians 12:8-9, NIV)

  • Blood Pressure Checks

The first Sunday of every month, members of Rehobeth who are registered nurses offer free blood pressure checks in the narthex from 9:45 to 10:40 AM.

  • "Loaves and Stitches"

This group knits and crochets prayer shawls, blankets, and other items for those who are undergoing chemotherapy or other medical treatment. Each time patients wrap their shawl or blanket around them, they can feel not only the physical warmth and comfort but also the love and care of every stitch.

  • Stephen Ministry

Rehobeth has commissioned 14 Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministers are specially trained members of the congregation who provide one-on-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Anyone in the community — not just in the church — may be referred for Christian support and encouragement from a Stephen Minister.

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me." (Mark 9:27, NIV)

  • Children's Sharing Time

Each Sunday during the 10:45 AM service, the children of the church are invited to the altar for a faith-based teaching moment with the pastor or to share a song.

  • Children's Church

Immediately following their sharing time during the 10:45 AM service, the children of the church leave the sanctuary and spend the remainder of the worship time participating in prayer, Bible lessons, and crafts or mission projects in one of the Sunday School classrooms. Children remain in the classroom until picked up by their parents or guardians.

  • Community-wide Events

Each year, Rehobeth sponsors events for children and their families, including the Fall Festival and the Easter Egg Hunt. These events are a special time of food, fellowship, and fun.

  • Kidz Connection

Wednesday evenings, all children from Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to join us for Kidz Connection from 6:00 to 7:15 PM in the Family Life Center. Dinner will be served, followed by Bible studies, music, crafts, and mission projects. Contact Angela Beard ( if you have questions. Follow us on Facebook!

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS)

VBS is one of the highlights of the summer for the children in our church and community. The program combines music, games, skits, crafts, and classroom instruction for a joyous and meaningful celebration of God's love.

And I keep praying that this faith we hold in common keeps showing up in the good things we do, and that people recognize Christ in all of it.
(Philemon 1:6, The Message)
